Customer Reviews
I have a hill climber version from In Motion, and I wish I had bought another instead of this model. It has no power on hills. They claim it easily conquers 30 % slope, which is a joke. I weigh 220 and I have to kick up hills or it will stall. Also, this one handles weird for some reason. I don't know what's different between the steering of this and the hill climber, but I def feel more confident riding the hill climber. Hill climber scooter is AWSOME!! This S1 .... underwhelming. Buyer's remorse here. Hope this helps someone's decision
Hello Matt ,
Thank you for sharing your honest feedback — we understand your disappointment, especially when comparing it to the Climber.
The INMOTION S1 and INMOTION Climber are designed for different riding priorities. The Climber uses a dual-motor setup focused on torque and hill performance, while the S1 is optimized more for range, comfort, and commuting efficiency. This difference can be more noticeable for riders around 220 lbs, especially on steeper inclines.
That said, the “30% slope” rating is tested under controlled conditions (ideal battery level, rider weight, terrain, etc.), so real-world performance can vary.
Regarding the handling difference, it may be related to:
Tire pressure setup
Riding mode/acceleration settings
Weight distribution compared to dual-motor models
If you’d like, we can help you fine-tune the settings to improve your riding experience.
Appreciate you taking the time to share your experience.
Best regards
INMOTION Team
I purchased 4 of these scooters but 2 of them did not work. I messed around with inmotion to get a refund but only 3months later did they give me the goahead to return them. At first I had to pay the shipping back to california but Thank fully Inmotion provided me lablels. I would not recomend this scooter for heavy riders since they do not have power at all they are very slow in taking of if going up even a slight hill, but besides this I love the speed and the suspension even though the fenders are a little weak.
This is my second inmotion my first got stolen so I purchased another one but my first one had 2 charging ports and the acceleration was a lot more responsive this one only has one charging port and acceleration is not good well not like my first purchase 11/19/24 inmotion6750 Black Friday special
I would like to say a word of gratitude to the customer support department, especially to Dorothy.
There were problems with configuring authorization when connecting to the scooter in the mobile app. All my problems were solved very quickly. Thanks a lot
Good quality scooter
