Sweet Ride. Clearly a learning curve, but very doable for 50 yr old dad and his 12 yr old son. Super awesome thus far.
Having a hard time getting it going. Soon as I got it I wiped out within 5 ft so been healing. I've done my homework and it'snot easy to start without the woobles automatic. Any suggestions? Plz lemme know! I live in Maine so the terrain is y I got the v11y.
I’ve been riding the V8S since October 2024, and while I enjoyed the wheel overall, I unfortunately experienced a sudden tire deflation issue after about 800 km of use, which even caused me to fall. It was a serious safety concern for me.
I reached out to INMOTION after-sales support, and after multiple rounds of communication they confirmed that tires are considered consumable parts and not covered under warranty. However, they did offer me a trade-in program for the V11Y, which I decided to go ahead with. The process was not without its frustrations (e.g., I had to cover $125 UPS shipping from New York to California), but eventually they agreed to offset that shipping cost in my final trade-in invoice.
Now I’m waiting for my V11Y to arrive, and I’m genuinely excited to see how it performs compared to my V8S.
That said, I do hope INMOTION will consider a few improvements in the future:
More flexibility with warranty or goodwill coverage when safety issues are involved.
Including accessory discounts (like seats or power pads) in trade-in programs to better support loyal customers.
Overall, I appreciate that INMOTION provided a path forward, but there’s definitely room for improvement in balancing customer satisfaction with company policy. Fingers crossed that my V11Y experience will be smoother 🚀.
I’ve had the V11y for just over a week now and at first I wasn’t sure if I had made the right decision in choosing it as my first wheel. I will say after some initial hesitation that I have come to love it. I have no doubt that it is going to be one of the best decisions I’ve made.
I like the reputation of inmotion and looking at my wheel I know it’s a reputation well earned. If I had to share any criticism or opinion for concern it would be in the design of the kickstand and it’s unstable nature. It was very upsetting to learn just how prone the EUC is to tipping over even on a smooth indoor surface as well as it falling over the first time I tried to use the kickstand outdoors on my initial attempt at learning to ride and being left with a side panel being marred before the first real use.
